How to Make Smoked Tomahawk Steak

In this video, Joe smokes some tomahawk steak and finishes on the grill before serving it.

Ingredients

Tomahawk steak

About ½ teaspoon of salt per pound

Preparation

*12-24 hours before making this recipe, prep your steak by adding ½ teaspoon of salt per pound of your steak, after a couple of hours, flip the steak onto the other side and sprinkle salt on the other side as well, put it in the fridge when done.*

Place your steak directly into the smoker, put the cook temp to 150ºF (65ºC), cook time of 5 hours, smoke time of 4 hours, and add 12 whiskey oak bisquettes at the bottom.

Once the time is over, remove your steak out of the smoker and place it on the grill and flip it every 30 seconds, the internal temp should be 135ºF (57ºC) when done.

Once you're done, place your steak on a plate and enjoy!
